SPOT ON 36557 Hotel Sawera

The hotel is in the market area near Indore's main railway station, so there was plenty of noise late at night. It might work for a cheap overnight stop, but the bedsheet was dirty and the washroom wasn't clean. Staff seemed friendly at first, then acted as if we'd disappeared. They also didn't bring the mattress after we asked several times, so we had to carry it to the room ourselves. I didn't like anything about the place.

The washroom smelled awful, had no toilet spray, and the basin and door looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in a year. The room was cramped, had no proper door, and there wasn't even a dustbin. The wardrobe had a thick layer of dust. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The front desk staff were cooperative, and the location is handy, near the bus stand and within walking distance of the railway station. The rooms are tiny, though, and the property doesn't have basic facilities. For the condition of the place, the price is too high. Maybe it could suit a solo traveler in an emergency, or someone who only needs to leave luggage there and stay out all day.

Calling this a hotel feels wrong, it's more like a lodge. The rooms are about 7x8 feet and look like storage rooms, with no attached bathrooms. Couples and unmarried guests aren't allowed. It felt like a school hostel, and there were no facilities. A pathetic place, and not worth the money.
