The location worked well for sightseeing, with Hawa Mahal and other main attractions fairly close by. Albana Haveli has an appealing exterior and a heritage-style look, though inside it feels like an older property that has been taken over and maintained over time. We saw old fittings and broken shower fixtures, and the washrooms need an upgrade. There’s no lift, which could be difficult for anyone on an upper floor with luggage or for elderly guests. The WiFi also didn’t work reliably during our stay. Service was average, and there didn’t seem to be many staff. Breakfast was basic: bread, butter, jam, banana or papaya, plus tea, coffee, or milk. More variety would have been welcome. We also noticed the name TT Palace in a few places around the hotel. It was an average place to stay.
The restaurant attached to the hotel is a real plus, and the location is good. My room was clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The shower could use some maintenance, but for the price it’s good value.
The rooms, interior, and location all seem arranged to make for a pleasant visit, and stepping inside felt really relaxing. It has the feel of a palace made for tourists. Hawa Mahal is a bit farther away than I expected, though getting there by erickshaw or auto is easy.
The staff communicated well, but cleaning only happened after I asked. I booked a Delux room for two nights, and the room didn’t look like the pictures. The dining area was the only part that matched. The bed was in very bad shape, creaking whenever I sat down or turned over, and the mattress was bent. The towels were poor quality too, with threads coming out and no softness. There was no shampoo or body wash in the washroom, the washbasin tap was damaged, and the commode jet didn’t work properly. Some electricity board switches were broken. The first room had a window looking into the kitchen lobby, so there was no privacy, and I had to change rooms. A very bad experience overall, and not worth the money.
The restaurant is a decent choice for a meal on-site, and the food is good. The hotel itself offers an affordable stay with polite, attentive staff and reliable room service. There are lower-floor and upper-floor rooms, with the upstairs option costing a bit more, though both are budget friendly. Cleanliness was satisfactory apart from a few marks on the bedsheets. Toiletries are very limited, just small soap bars. We also had trouble at final payment because communication between the owner and staff wasn’t clear. It’s a reasonable option for travelers wanting a budget stay, basic amenities, and good food.
