Hotel Classic Inn

Kabir is the best part of this place, a kind man with a big smile. The rooms were the best we could get for our budget, and the place was clean and generally well maintained. We did have problems with the water supply. The staff responded quickly and stayed up late trying to fix it, which was very good of them. The food was okay, though I’d suggest adding more to the menu. I’ll definitely come back when I visit Jaipur again.

My booking was confirmed for the day before my 5 AM arrival, and I’d told the property well in advance that I was travelling from Jaisalmer and asked whether early entry would be a problem. Still, when I reached Jaipur, the property wasn’t at the location listed online. I tried calling again and again for directions, but the phone was switched off. Stranded so early, I had to book another hotel on the spot. Later, they refused my refund without explaining why. This was one of my worst booking experiences: unreliable, unprofessional, and misleading. I strongly advise others not to book here.

The lobby was dirty, with a plate of half-eaten food left there, and the rooms let through conversations from next door clearly. They’re not soundproof at all. In winter, there was no hot water, just lukewarm at best. The flow was so slow that filling one bucket took 20 minutes.

We stayed in the spacious downstairs dorm, which was cool, quiet, and very clean. It’s a special place with a friendly, helpful, community feel, and they look after their staff. The train station is within walking distance. The electrics in the bed space were damaged, and management was made aware.
