We had booked two rooms for just 5-6 hours before moving on. When we arrived, we asked to see them first: the bedsheets were dirty, the washroom wasn’t clean, and the rooms smelled of cigarettes. It seemed staff had been using them before we got there. I’d made the mistake of paying in advance. Since it was late at night and I was in a hurry with my family, I didn’t take photos. Support wasn’t helpful when I contacted them. There are other hotels nearby with clean rooms and good service, so avoid this one.

The rooms weren’t maintained at all. Room 207 was dirty, with a broken washroom door lock, no hot water, a nonworking AC, no water at the washbasin, and broken switches. I moved to room 106, which was even worse: the AC still didn’t work properly, there was no water at the washbasin, the switches were broken, and the TV didn’t work.

The stay was unhygienic and unpleasant, and I wish zero were an option. The rooms were very dirty with no ventilation, and the bathrooms weren’t properly cleaned. Service was pathetic. They took full payment before showing us a room, then gave us one only after payment. When I asked the cleaning person to change the bedsheet, he refused. Don’t trust the photos on the sites; trust the worst reviews. Outside food isn’t allowed, and there’s no lift. Breakfast was just a little poha and less than a full cup of tea. Asking for another cup cost extra, and it was still only half a cup. We had to call multiple times for hot water or bathroom issues, and the foot mats were very dirty with no one cleaning underneath. We booked by phone, paid 671 in advance and the rest on arrival. They charged 2600 for two nights, which they said included breakfast.

The spa and restaurant on site added to the stay, and the central location made exploring the city convenient. Our room was very clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff’s warm hospitality and attention to detail stood out. I had a delightful stay at Hotel Tovo and highly recommend it for an enjoyable visit.
