The rooftop view of Amer Fort was a highlight, especially in the evening. Hotel Amer View is also budget-friendly, with friendly, helpful staff and decent food. My room was clean and spacious, with traditional Rajasthani decor. A comfortable choice near Amer Fort.

The location is good, and the rooms on the second floor have a very good view of Amer Fort. But the hotel's upkeep has gone badly downhill, and it's not what it was a few years ago. It was very good back then, but it seems management changed. The bathroom, including the cisterns, gets very little water, with hardly any pressure, especially on the second floor. Hot water is unreliable. The towels are old, crumpled, and shabby, and the bed linen is old and smelly. There were no flasks, electric kettle, or tea and coffee sachets, and the TV didn't work. I don't understand what basis they use for its three-star rating.
