Breakfast in the courtyard was delicious, with both Indian and continental choices and freshly made coffee. We also had supper on the roof, looking out over the hills and forts beneath the stars. Magical, and the aubergine masala and fresh layered paratha were delicious. The staff were excellent and friendly, especially Dhan Singh, who always seemed to be there to help, day or night. This is a 300 year old haveli, later embellished by Samuel Swinton Jacob in the 19th century. Its owners have restored 11 rooms so far, and the family clearly take pride in preserving it for future generations. DJ, whose family own the hotel, offers a free tour explaining its history. Take him up on it. It was fascinating, and he's charming and full of helpful advice about Jaipur. Even the family's Great great grandparents 1933 Ford Cabriolet is still in the garage, gathering dust. It really evokes a bygone era. Our room, number 111, had stained glass above the windows, a beautiful tiled floor, period furniture and Indian style lighting. We felt special there and could picture the haveli in its heyday. The bed was vast, the bathroom had both a bath and shower, and there were tea making facilities and a fridge. We walked back from the City Palace in 25 minutes, though it's easy to take a tuktuk or uber. This is a very individual heritage hotel that gives travellers a real insight into the long history of Jaipur's havelis. Go and stay. You won't be disappointed!

Saba Haveli was a serene, welcoming place that made us feel at ease as soon as we arrived. The property is stunning and full of character, and the staff were attentive, warm, and genuinely thoughtful throughout. Our spacious room was beautifully maintained and remarkably comfortable. Its traditional design and meticulous cleanliness gave the stay a timeless elegance. We were fortunate to have a private tour of the haveli with the owner. Hearing about the care taken to preserve the building using traditional restoration techniques was fascinating. The excellent local guide Rajveer organised and joined us on visits around the city, and arranged smooth taxi transfers between cities. His knowledge, professionalism, and warmth made getting around effortless. The food was excellent, especially the generous, delicious breakfasts, and the hospitality made our time in Jaipur unforgettable. It's a hidden gem in the heart of the city, and I'd wholeheartedly recommend it for an authentic yet luxurious stay. We'd gladly return.

Dhananjay was lovely and easy to reach throughout our stay. We only booked two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The room felt wonderfully grand, and the location made it easy to reach many sights, including Hawa Mahal, with shops and restaurants nearby. We’d happily recommend staying here.

We had a lovely family visit at this charming hotel. Dinner on the rooftop is a treat, with views all around the city. There’s also a short hotel tour, about 15 minutes, that explains its historic architecture and past uses. My mother said the coffee was the best she’d had, even though I don’t drink coffee myself.

The haveli has so much character, and the staff were welcoming without making a fuss. Our room and bathroom were huge, and breakfast in the courtyard was pleasant with a generous spread. Dhananjay made excellent cappuccinos and gave us useful Jaipur recommendations. Laundry came back quickly and didn’t cost much. We liked being on the top floor, though the stairs could be difficult for some. We walked to places and also used tuktuks and Uber. When one driver couldn’t find the haveli, DJ called and guided him. They showed us their private lawn and garden across the street, but we ran out of time to use it. A memorable stay.
