Hotel Laxmi Villa Palace

Everything was more than perfect ❣️ This is the best hotel in jaipur, definitely an option over the others.

The online photos showed a deluxe room, so I booked ahead, but the actual condition was disappointing. At Laxmi Villa Palace near Jaipur railway station, the walls were dirty and the washroom wasn't clean enough to meet basic hygiene standards. The bathroom drain looked grimy and worn, and the electrical outlet was dusty and neglected. I asked for cleaning and service but didn't get an adequate response. Given the poor upkeep and unhelpful service, I wouldn't recommend it. Don't rely on the pictures alone, check the room in person before booking.

We spent 10-15 minutes every time we went out trying to lock the door because the outside lock didn't work. On our last morning, someone tried the door several times from outside. Thankfully we'd put the latch on, but that was a serious safety concern. The window was broken too, letting hot air in, and we worried a bird might fly inside. Several switches were broken or didn't work. Dust covered the table and bed, and the room stayed damp. We had no washroom water for half a day, no room cleaning during our three-day stay, and our food plates were left in the passage. Reception repeatedly switched off the AC, turning it back on only after we called or came down. Staff often said the RO wasn't working and told us to buy packaged water, though the manager said it was fine and later sent water. The wifi was too slow for videos, so I had to use my phone hotspot to work on my laptop. The first room key they gave us belonged to a room someone was already using, with their luggage inside. Luckily nobody was there when we opened the door, but it was a breach of privacy. The next room smelled bad, had damp walls, a broken tube light and AC, and no TV. They moved us after we complained. We stayed in the third room. Before that, we'd tried calling about early check-in, but nobody answered and then the number couldn't be reached. We went to the hotel and were charged ₹300 for three hours, although Goibobo booking said early check-in was complimentary.

The bedding was unhygienic, with a used blanket, and they gave us a wet towel. The switchboard was poor, and the TV switch wiring was damaged. Felt like they were making a fool of us.
