It took over an hour to sort out the hot water, and the whole runaround spoiled my mood. I called reception four times. At first, I was told to turn the tap to the left and leave it running for a while, as if I hadn’t already tried that. I waited 10-15 minutes with no hot water. On my next call, someone said they’d send help, but nobody came for ten minutes. A different person answered the third call and acted as if they had no idea what was happening, so I had to explain it all again. They said they’d send someone. Ten minutes later, a worker arrived with a heating rod, but there was no bucket or mug in the bathroom. He said someone would bring them. By then, more than 30 minutes had passed since my first call. After I called a fourth time, someone finally brought a bucket and mug and told me the hotel boiler wasn’t switched on. I was asked to use the heating rod. It was an old-fashioned, dangerous type that could shock you if you touched the water while it was on. I filled the bucket and then waited another 15 minutes for the water to heat. If the hotel is going to provide heating rods, they should at least buy the newer safe, shockproof models. They hardly cost anything.

The room was spacious and good, and the charges were reasonable. The location was good too. Breakfast was good, though not superb. I didn’t like the smoking smell in the room, but they changed it for us.

The room itself was a letdown. The door was very noisy, the washroom door stuck badly and wouldn’t shut properly, and the lock felt extremely cheap for a hotel in the 3-4 star category. Basic washroom supplies were missing too: there was no body lotion, shampoo, hair dryer, or other essentials you’d normally expect at this level. Even though we’d pre-booked, check-in took an unusually long time and was frustrating. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment: soggy dosas, very slow service, and poor quality overall. In service, maintenance, and food, this place doesn’t meet 3 or 4 star expectations. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a comfortable or premium stay.

The beds were really uncomfortable to sleep on, which was the one big downside. Apart from that, I loved my stay at Libra lords at Jaipur. The staff were polite and professional, the rooms were neat and clean, and toiletries were available. The food was good, especially the breakfast buffet.
