Jwala Niketan

I spent a month here and was absolutely delighted. The rooms are simple, clean, and spacious. I especially recommend one overlooking the terrace, a peaceful little spot for morning yoga, relaxing after a day in the intense, vibrant city, or swapping travel stories and tips with other guests. The hotel is just steps from the metro, in a central, strategic area, yet tucked away on a completely quiet little street. It’s run by a lovely family. Bana speaks perfect English and is thoughtful and helpful, with authentic recommendations to share. He also organizes city tours and is an excellent guide. Great value, homemade breakfast, laundry, and pickup service. I’d absolutely recommend it.

We spent three nights here and found the rooms comfortable. Hot water was unreliable, though. In three days, I managed to have just one proper hot shower. Requests also took a while, perhaps because the hotel was busy, and sometimes nobody was at reception. The owner is friendly, open, and enjoyable to talk to, and his warm hospitality gives the place a welcoming feel.

The family who run Jwala Niketan make you feel welcome and cared for, and breakfast was delicious. I came to Jaipur for the shopping markets, and Banu went out of his way to help me find the right shops and tell me about life in Jaipur. His mother and sisters were sweet and helpful too. The location sits between the Pink City and C-Scheme, with cafes and parks as well as tourist sites and markets nearby. Uber is cheap and easy in either direction. I highly recommend staying here for a few days. It really feels like being at home.

The owners are a lovely family who helped us with everything, including good suggestions for places to eat and things to do. Bana and his family are wonderful hosts. The place is cozy and well kept, with a beautiful garden, and our room was large and comfortable with both A/C and a fan. It was quiet at night. The location is very central, near the bus stop, metro, and train station. Come stay here if you want a great experience!
