Samode Haveli

We spent all three afternoons reading and having tea in the stunning lounge where we first registered. Tea came from the restaurant. The dining spaces were all lovely, with one outdoors under the stars and two indoors, so we ate every meal at the hotel during our stay. We also found beautiful items in the two shops, some at such reasonable prices that we bought gifts. The staff were warm and friendly. Simran at reception was consistently thoughtful and helpful, and her tall colleague helped us too. One of the restaurant staff, a small-built man with a moustache, was helpful and intuitive every time we saw him. I think his name was Dipendra. A fabulous stay.

The staff were polite, proactive, and ready to guide us whenever we needed help. Suryavardhan and Simran made our three days at Samode Haveli especially memorable. When there was a problem with our first room, they arranged a complimentary upgrade to the Sheesh Mahal and the Haveli Suite. We ended up staying in three beautiful rooms, each lovelier than the last. Our visit was spectacular, and we’d highly recommend Samode Haveli to anyone coming to Jaipur.

What made our two nights at Samode Haveli stand out was the personal care from the team, especially Pushpen. He took it upon himself to arrange our tours and excursions, and even helped us extend our room stay. We were looked after from the moment we arrived. The property is a characterful, charming haveli in Jaipur’s old city. It was a highlight of our Rajasthan trip and a wonderful base for exploring Jaipur. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

The service at Samud Haveli was warm and attentive, with staff always ready to help but never intrusive. It easily matched, and in some ways exceeded, what I’ve experienced at top luxury chains. Though I wouldn’t necessarily choose it for a whole long trip, it’s perfect toward the end of a journey, when you can slow down, unwind, and really feel the place. The haveli is a beautifully restored 200-year-old building, full of fine Rajasthani art, intricate architecture, and thoughtful details. It feels authentic and alive rather than staged. Even though the grounds are compact, there are flowers everywhere, and it feels comfortable and peaceful. My room was large and well appointed, with everything I’d expect from a luxury hotel. I was lucky to have a private courtyard, my favourite spot to sit and unwind. A clear five-star experience, highly recommended.
