OYO 1298 Hotel Kohinoor

The photos gave a false impression. There was no cleanliness, and even basic things were missing, including a working flush. I wouldn't book here even at a low price. You can find a better hotel for the same amount.

I arrived around 9 pm with a confirmed booking I'd made a week earlier, but they said there were no rooms and refused to give me one. The manager said rudely that he had 70 bookings and no rooms left. I also saw them giving rooms to other people at higher rates. Before I got there, I called the hotel's contact number many times without anyone answering. When I showed the call list at the hotel, they claimed that wasn't their number. I had a lot of trouble that night, so please take this seriously before booking.

The bathroom had insects, and the room and the rest of the hotel were filthy. Broken lights and bathroom fittings were all over the place, and the room was in a miserable state. They said renovation was underway, but I don't see how they could assign rooms that looked abandoned. Check-in was unpleasant too. The men at reception asked how much I had paid and other unnecessary questions. They first said my booked AC room wasn't available and only a non-AC room could be given. After a long argument, they gave me an AC room, but the AC barely worked. Oyo's claims about clean AC rooms, good bathrooms, and fast check-in didn't match what I found. Don't trust the Oyo name alone. Check property details and online reviews carefully before booking.

The room was dirty and the check-in was a nightmare. The reception staff were drunk, and so was the staff dealing with guests. I wouldn't suggest anyone go here, especially families. Don't go.
