My stay itself was comfortable, but leaving was humiliating. They blamed me for a broken almirah glass based only on what one of the cleaning staff said. Maybe someone else had simply missed that the glass was already broken. Being held responsible made me angry, but I ended up paying anyway. They also ask your age aloud at reception, accept cash only, and don’t have a system for printing documents. I’d suggest taking a video of the whole room when you check in.

The staff were cooperative, the location was good, and the place was peaceful. Room service was good, and the hotel is close to most tourist attractions. Breakfast needs better quality and more options, though. Overall, I had a good experience.

The complimentary breakfast was limited to one plate of Poha and either tea or coffee, plus one parata for vegetarians or an omelette for non-vegetarians. We stayed three days, and the menu was the same each day. You couldn’t ask for two plates of Poha instead of the parata. There were bed bugs in the mattress, and the bathroom was in awful shape, with broken tubs and rusty taps. I don’t know if all the rooms are like that or just the one we got. The room looked stunning when we first entered, and the staff member handed it over and left after we thanked him. They do have Wi-Fi. They gave us the password, we went upstairs and started using it, then it stopped working. I guess they changed the password. Service was soooo slow, to the point where an order from our first day might not arrive until the third. The staff really seemed to lack common sense. The food arrived cold, and they didn’t even have proper cutlery to serve it. We were left waiting for services, and the staff seemed more interested in blaming each other. The place lacked basics like a clean washroom and clean linen. A total waste of money, and a shocking level of service from a property working with OYO.

The property was recently upgraded to OYO collection O, and the rooms and infrastructure are nice. It’s Centro, near the bus stand, and I had a nice stay overall. But the same Oyo issues remain, with too few staff and below-average hygiene.
