The Jaibagh Palace

There’s plenty of room in the guest rooms and across the property, but customer service needs urgent attention. We tried both dinner and breakfast and came away disappointed. The buffet arrangements, tiny chutney bowls for the veg curry, and guava served as a breakfast fruit all added to it, and every dish we tried tasted bad. I’ve had much better breakfasts at 3 star hotels. I don’t know what justifies calling this a 5 star property. The infrastructure isn’t the only issue, and the restaurant service is poor.

Our clients, the family, were under a lot of stress from the ongoing guest complaints and couldn’t properly enjoy the functions, even though our company did everything it could to sort things out. We had to bring in extra helpers because the hotel was short-staffed, and our team ended up moving and handling luggage throughout the event. The hotel’s luggage support was inconsistent and mostly unavailable, so we often didn’t know whether they were involved or responsible. We were managing a wedding event at Jai Bagh, and the hotel’s hospitality was very disappointing. Guests kept calling our hospitality team about problems: some rooms had no phones to reach reception, ACs didn’t work, water bottles and toiletries were missing, AC remotes were absent, refrigerators weren’t working, bedsheets were unclean, and TVs couldn’t be used because set-top boxes were missing. Coordination was poor and staff responses were delayed, making things worse. The hotel manager was extremely rude and uncooperative with our team. I’d strongly suggest choosing carefully before picking this property.

The views were really nice, and my child said the school trip was amazing. It seems like a wonderful place for planning a school trip.

The rooms are spacious and pretty standard, and the place looks good, but it’s out in the middle of nowhere and my experience was terrible. The road to the hotel is rough and only partly paved, so getting to and from Jaipur was difficult. Service was disappointing too, especially at meals. The waiters seemed too nervous to seat us. At dinner they watched us sit down, and only came over after we asked a few minutes later whether we were in the right place. WiFi barely worked outside the lobby. The manager blamed the undeveloped roads for that. My family had an early flight on New Year’s Day, but the hotel held a huge party on New Year’s Eve. I understand it was New Year’s Eve, and this complaint is a bit nitpicky, but the music was so loud that the lights in my room shook with every beat and none of us could sleep. I asked at 1:00 A.M. when it would end and was told 2:00 A.M. It kept going until 2:30 A.M. I think this kind of event should have been held in a room set aside for it, so it wouldn’t disturb the whole hotel. When we got up to check out, the place was a mess, with hookahs and trash on the outdoor benches. Even our driver complained the noise carried into the early morning. It definitely doesn’t feel like a five star hotel, not even close.
