The Lalit Jaipur

The location worked well for us: it’s 10 minutes from the airport, and during our four-night stay we weren’t bothered by airport noise. The Pink City is over 30 minutes away, but we chose to stay outside central Jaipur’s hustle and bustle, so you’ll need cabs to get around. The pool and gym are great, and breakfast had an excellent selection. Other meals offer a choice of à la carte or buffet, at reasonable prices. The hotel also has a useful car hire service, which we used for 4000rs for 8 hours. Service was excellent, especially Priyanka and the staff. The hotel was very clean and spacious.

The hotel’s calm, pleasant atmosphere made it easy to relax, and the food was good in both taste and quality. Staff were polite and helpful, with quick service that kept things running smoothly. My room was clean, comfortable, well maintained, and nicely arranged.

The food was really tasty, which was the one good part. The rooms look lovely, but the floors were dusty and the hygiene was only so-so. Bring your own footwear because the cheap room slippers are slippery. Cutlery was dirty every day, and cleanliness felt nowhere near five-star level. Staff seemed careless: no welcome drink, and the receptionists were busy without making us feel welcome. Stay at your own expense and don’t expect good value.

The property and amenities at Lalit Jaipur are nice, but the service kept falling short. We had to call repeatedly or go to the concierge in person for basics, including towels from housekeeping and luggage collection at checkout. The worst issue was our late-night order. We requested food and water at 11 PM and were told they would arrive by 11:30-11:45 PM. The water came an hour later, and the meal didn’t arrive until 1 AM, after I’d gone to reception to follow up for what felt like the tenth time. My aunt is diabetic and needs meals on time, so waiting until 1 AM put her blood sugar management at risk and left us trying to manage her insulin under stress. We had a guest with specific dietary needs, too. For the price, the gap between what was promised and what we got was disappointing. The staff seemed overwhelmed or poorly coordinated, and the constant chasing made the stay frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend it unless the service improves significantly.
