Utsav Vilas

I had a distressing experience at Utsav Vilas Jaipur. After checking out, I realized I'd left my diamond wedding necklace on the bed and called the hotel an hour later. They told me the room would be locked. But when I came back several hours afterward, it had already been cleaned and the necklace was missing. I checked the laundry room too, but couldn't find it. I've filed a police report. This was my wedding jewellery, and the hotel failed to protect my belongings. I wouldn't trust it with valuables.

I was here on a G-Adventures tour, and this was one of the tour's best hotels, maybe the best. The rooftop was beautiful, and we had a bollywood dance class there. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds, and reception responded quickly when we needed something. We also left laundry at reception and got it back within 24 hours at a reasonable price. My only complaint was the shower's very low water pressure, but that was minor. I'd stay again.

The room was nice, and the laundry service was great and affordable. Nearby restaurants had good food and coffee.

A waste of money. We booked two suite rooms at Utsav Niwas, but on arrival they gave us just one room at Utsav Villa. It took two hours to get the second room, and that room wasn't the one we'd booked either. The staff were untrained, the food was awful, and service was very slow. They didn't provide complimentary mineral water, shampoo, or soap, and we got a kettle in only one room. Both bathrooms had drainage problems, and they gave us a wet towel. Every staff member needs training in their work and behavior.
