Hotel Kings Villa Jaisalmer

The host looked after everything I needed and even saw me off on my last day. My room was bigger than it looked in the photo, and both it and the spacious bathroom were clean. The place was quiet, and there was plenty of hot water even in winter. Jaisalmer fort is close enough to walk to. I had a good stay and would definitely recommend this place to newcomers or first-time visitors.

Most tourist spots were only a few minutes away by auto-rickshaw, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The rooms could use a bit of an upgrade, but the rest was great. We had a comfortable stay and I’d highly recommend it. 👍🏻

The room was just about okay for size, but the washroom had no ventilation and a strong smell lingered through the room. Towels, soap, and toiletries weren’t provided unless we asked repeatedly. There was no dedicated parking, despite the listing claiming there was. The hotel sits on a very narrow, congested lane, so parking nearby was difficult. Online listings and photos also showed a restaurant and rooftop, but neither belonged to this property. There’s no restaurant on site and they don’t provide breakfast. I found the way the place was presented online highly misleading. Staff sitting outside seemed to be children, not trained hotel staff. They often misplaced things, and it looked to me like child labor, which was shocking and seemed unethical and illegal. There was also an argument about a missing TV remote in one room. The owner arrived and was very rude instead of sorting it out politely, and guests had to wait and argue over something so minor. I had a very unpleasant stay at Hotel Kings Villa Jaisalmer. Based on this experience, I’m confident many of the positive reviews are fake or written by people from the property. It felt like a place run on false promises and poor service.

For a short 1-2 day visit to Jaisalmer, this could work if you mainly plan to be out rather than spend time at the hotel. It’s a budget place with a decent-sized room, clean linen, and a bathroom that was kept in good condition. The main problem was repeated power cuts. The AC stopped each time and the room got hot, especially during the day. We also had to ask for fresh towels and water.
