Best Western Summerlea

The Glenn Multi-Cuisine Restaurant was a real highlight, with flavourful, authentic food and thoughtful service. The hotel itself was tidy and clean, and its calm atmosphere and soothing music were relaxing each time we came in. The staff made us feel cared for from arrival, especially Karan, who quickly came to sort out the room and answer our outstanding questions. Sareena helped get my sweater altered to fit me, and Anita's stitching was neat and precise. That kind of personal attention meant a lot. We felt warmly looked after throughout our memorable stay at Best Western Summerlea, Jalandhar, and I'd happily recommend it for comfort, good food, and a peaceful atmosphere. I was already wanting to return before we left.

We paid in advance for three nights, February 16-19, 2025, and the stay was extremely poor. The Wi-Fi never worked, the breakfast was limited to Indian food and service was poor, and the room wasn't cleaned on time. There were no toiletries, so at 4 a.m. I had to call for towels, toothbrushes, and other basics. A short power cut also stopped the lifts from working. I raised these issues with Ms Sarina at the front desk, but nothing was done. Every morning she kept asking whether we were checking out, despite knowing we'd booked all three nights. I asked Manager Mr Rahul for help too, with the same result. The staff didn't seem qualified, and I felt foreigners weren't given priority while wedding functions and parties were. The bar area was fully booked throughout our stay, so we couldn't use it. Extremely poor service.

I've been choosing this hotel for eight years when I come to visit, and this 12-day stay was fantastic. Sunil Thakhur, the manager, helped from the moment I arrived and went out of his way to answer my questions. The staff were amazing. I'd recommend the hotel to everyone. Thank you for a great stay!

The food was very good, and the staff were cooperative and welcoming. Mr. Sunil Thakur RM sir and Mukesh were especially polite. Chef Harry took a personal interest and offered useful suggestions about the cuisine. A must-visit, and a very good hospitality experience.
