OYO 11073 Amar Guest House

Just an average place. If you're hoping to spend a nice stretch of time at the hotel, this probably isn't for you. It could work if all you need is somewhere to sleep at night before heading out all day.

There's no Wi-Fi in the rooms. When we asked to use it, they said we'd have to sit at reception to get online. The staff were aggressive and uncooperative, and this place doesn't deserve even one star.

I called about checking in early and was told I couldn't check in unless I booked again at about twice the price. I'd reserved through GoIbibo a week earlier, and the hotel hadn't contacted me to say the rate was a problem. They only objected to it when I called on the morning of the booking. I had to contact GoIbibo to cancel without a charge, then find another hotel. It was a hassle, though their customer support sorted it within half an hour of my call. They offered to speak to the hotel and arrange the booking, but I decided to cancel instead. GoIbibo: 4/5 Amar Guest House: 0/5

The room was tiny and stank, and the rest of the building smelled just as bad. There was a mix of cats, damp, mold, rot, a petting farm and a zoo keeper's boots in the smell. The staff seemed inexperienced and talked to customers like they were at a fish market. I was completely disappointed. 😡😰 Even before going inside, the dirty, torn curtains behind grimy, rotting windows should have been enough to make me turn around and leave. How can somewhere this awful be part of such a beautiful city?
