ZANA By The Ganges, Rishikesh

The rooftop is a nice bonus, and check-in was smooth. Our rooms and bathrooms were clean, and there was convenient parking on site. This is one of the newer properties in the area. The staff were exceptionally courteous throughout, with special thanks to Vinay at the front desk for making us especially comfortable. Excellent spot in Tapovan, within walking distance of Laxman Jhoola.

The rooms and location are the only good things here. The service is pathetic, and I wouldn’t spend this much money on the hotel. They don’t clean the room properly. If they sweep the floor, they leave all the room’s dust right outside the door instead of using a dustbin. Staff say housekeeping isn’t provided after 5pm. They don’t provide ice cubes, and towels may not arrive even after you call three times. Management says they never refuse anything, but staff always say no to whatever you ask. They also leave used plates and bowls outside the room for a day, even when they do take them away. This wasn’t just my experience, many others have written the same.

We stayed in the Celebrity Suite, a massive room with a Jacuzzi that was perfect for relaxing after a long day out. Having a view of the Ganges right from the room was a lovely extra. Zana by the Ganges is a hidden gem for a luxurious, high-quality stay, with the calmness of Tapovan and easy access to Rishikesh. Everyone was humble and went out of their way to keep things problem-free. Housekeeping checked in proactively, and the restaurant staff were excellent. We had breakfast and dinner there, and the vegetarian dinner menu was delicious. The location is peaceful while still close to great shops on the main road, and getting into the heart of Rishikesh by Tuk-Tuk is easy. I highly recommend it for a premium, comfortable stay. We can’t wait to return.

The peaceful atmosphere and soothing presence of the Ganges made Zana by the Ganges a refreshing place to unwind and reconnect. The property is beautifully located and thoughtfully designed. Abhishek and Pawan from housekeeping were especially polite, attentive, and proactive. They kept the room impeccably clean and well maintained, and handled every request promptly with a smile. Vinay from concierge gave exceptional service as well. Special thanks to Ritika from the restaurant team. The hospitality, cleanliness, and tranquil feel made this a wonderful stay. I’d love to return and recommend it to anyone visiting for comfort, peace, and great service.
