Hotel Kalatit International

After waiting an hour and a half, I had to cancel the order. We placed it through Zomato at 2 pm, and after 75 minutes it still wasn't ready. I called at 3 pm and got no answer. They immediately answered a call from another number and said the order had already gone to the delivery partner, but when I checked with the partner, it hadn't been delivered and in fact hadn't been handed over. The hotel replied disrespectfully that traffic was causing a further delay. If traffic was a problem, they shouldn't have accepted the order. This felt careless and irresponsible.

Since the hotel renovation, prices have gone up, but the food hasn't improved enough to justify them. It's not as good as it used to be, and eating here isn't enjoyable anymore. At these prices, there are plenty of better choices in Jamnagar.

I used to have very good experiences at kalatit restaurant, but my visit to the newly opened opera cafe was uncomfortable because of the hygiene. I found what looked like a thread in my Hakka noodles and asked the staff to check it. While doing so, a staff member touched the noodles with bare hands. He then said he'd replace the dish, but I saw him take the same plate into the kitchen and put another plate over it. The noodles came back within five minutes, so I doubted they had actually been freshly prepared. When I asked whether they had been changed, he didn't sound sure. It left me feeling that the same noodles had been served again after being touched by hand. This was very disappointing. Food hygiene is basic, and I hope management takes strict action and improves staff training.

We had to keep asking for basic things like spoons, forks, napkins, and salad. None of it was brought without prompting, and the service felt unacceptable and unprofessional. The food wasn't what we ordered either. The captain didn't know our order and served a different dish without telling us. Very disappointing, 0/5.
