The food was good, and the service was top-notch. It’s in a prime spot in Tatanagar, so getting around and reaching things is easy. I’d recommend it whenever you visit. The one drawback is that they don’t negotiate, which I don’t think is customer-friendly.

My favorite part of Hotel Darshan in Bistupur was opening the curtains in the morning to see Ram Mandir from the room. I could also hear the morning aarti bells, which brought a peaceful, positive feeling to each day. The name really did feel fitting. The hotel is right opposite the temple, with markets, cafes, and transport only steps away. The room was compact but clean, with comfortable bedding, AC and TV, plus daily housekeeping. The in-house dining was decent. I liked the fresh tea and poha in the morning, simple but satisfying. Staff were polite and quick to respond, and check-in went smoothly. My ratings: cleanliness 4/5, ambience 3.5/5, food 4/5, service 4/5, location 5/5. A good pick for a budget stay in Jamshedpur if you want a view with a spiritual feel. Seeing Ram Mandir from the room each day felt priceless.
Bathrooms were very clean and hygienic, and the staff cleaned them regularly. Breakfast was included, and the prices were competitive. The rooms are simple, old, and earthy, but functional for executives. It’s on Bistupur main road, with easy connections to places within a 30 km radius. What more could you want? 😇😀
The internet connection wasn’t stable, and the manager himself said not to rely on the hotel’s data. If you’re staying more than a day or need to join an online meeting, you’re likely to have a lot of trouble getting online.
Breakfast came as a buffet, with a variety of dishes and decent food quality. The rooms are quite spacious, though they look a bit old. Basic amenities are lacking: there’s no electric kettle for tea and no handwash in the bathroom. The AC is old too, but it does the job. Reception staff were helpful and courteous. There’s an elevator up to the 3rd floor, but you’ll need to take the stairs to the 4th. It’s a decent hotel in Bistupur, opposite Ram mandir, for a short stay.
