We stayed for one night, and it was pleasant. The spacious, clean rooms and helpful staff made it comfortable, and it's about 10 KM (apporx.) from Mall Road. My only complaint is that the food menu was limited. It seems suitable for couples or families.
A small, sweet, cozy cottage in a convenient location, and worth the money spent. The staff were well trained and cooked good meals. We had a very nice experience.
Our stay at Shanti Aalayam was perhaps the best vacation we'd had in a while. It's a cozy place in a convenient spot in Kasauli, and we booked through Vista Rooms at a very reasonable cost. I'd recommend it to friends and family.

There wasn't a single shop nearby, and the property was too far from the Mall Road. The main problem was the ill mannered care taker, with no other staff around. For me, this was the worst place to stay in Kasauli.
