Govind Bagh Resort

The food was the one real bright spot for us. We knew the resort was far from both the city and the airport, but that makes it even more important for the pool, gym, and other amenities to be open. They were all closed during our stay. We also had no WiFi in our room, the bathroom was missing basic essentials, and construction was going on in the suite next door while we were trying to sleep. Service felt lacking too. The man who checked us in was the exception, but the other staff were very quiet and didn't offer much. I’d call this a well-designed three-star resort at best, or a four-star place at a stretch, rather than a five-star one. I wouldn’t recommend it to foreigners. You can find better four-star hotels for less, or proper five-star resorts if you're willing to pay more.

The hotel is fully vegetarian, and it’s a little way out from the main city, but we still had a great stay. We were there with family, and it’s especially good for kids, with a play area and a duck pond. The hotel looks lovely, and the staff were accommodating and provided good service.

The standout for me was Mr. Gaurav Singh Nana. His warm, courteous attention made us feel like part of the family, and he even showed me around the property and nearby attractions in his personal 1965 Vintage Ambassador Car. That felt like a royal experience. Govind Bagh (HOTEL & RESTAURANT) is a lovely reflection of Rajasthan’s heritage, with modern comfort and a peaceful, nostalgic feel. The food was excellent, full of local flavours and traditional dishes, and each meal was prepared with care and served with a smile. Everyone on staff was attentive, well-mannered, and ready to help without hovering. From arrival on, I felt genuinely welcomed. This was one of the finest hospitality experiences I’ve had, and I’d happily recommend Govind Bagh to anyone visiting Jodhpur. I’m looking forward to coming back.

There’s a peaceful atmosphere here, and they’ve put a lot of care into the greenery and personal touches. The people are sincere and the place is run efficiently. Rajasthan is known for warm hospitality, and this is a fine resort that reflects that.
