Kings Retreat Jodhpur

The room itself was comfortable, but the washroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. Staff were unprofessional and weren’t available when needed, which was inconvenient. Food was poor and took a long time to prepare. We’d planned to eat dinner on the terrace, but the lack of proper lighting made it uncomfortable. There’s no parking in the area, and the property has no lift, which could be difficult for older guests. The online pictures look much better than it does in person.

What made our stay at King’s Retreat, Jodhpur so memorable was the care we received, especially while travelling with my elderly parents. The kindness and patience meant a lot, and Ranjeet deserves a heartfelt mention for going above and beyond to look after us. The staff also handled the difficult car access with care, escorting us on their two-wheelers and making sure we were comfortable. This rustic heritage hotel is beautiful, with a breathtaking view of the Mehrangarh Fort that makes you feel perched above the whole city. Breakfast was fresh from the kitchen, and we’ll remember eating it with that view. We’ll remember King’s Retreat for its beauty and the love and care from its people. It’s a place defined by outstanding hospitality.

The old city location felt secure, with restaurants and sights easy to reach. Rooms were clean, nicely decorated in a quaint style, and the staff were very helpful. Great value, and I’d easily recommend staying here.

We chose this place so we could have dinner with a view of the fort, and the service turned out to be a lovely surprise. The chef made amazing homemade food, and Manager Ishwar was very helpful. Everyone was polite. The narrow lanes can get crowded and cars can’t enter, which is the downside of the location. I’d stay here again if I visited Jodhpur, and highly recommend it.
