We had everything we were told would be provided, and really enjoyed staying in these tents set up in a bungalow for a transit stop. Honestly, I liked the way the owner runs the place. He even sat with us for over an hour late at night. I’d recommend it for a budget stay.

After paying through Goibibo, we were still charged extra by the old man. At first he said all the tents were full, though we could see four empty ones. After a lot of arguing, he put us in a poor, unfinished room on the terrace of his house. The beds were dirty, there was no plaster on the walls, and the windows were bad. It felt worse than jail. We left our bags and went out, thinking we’d spend the night roaming around and check out in the morning for our next guest house. When we came back after dinner to ask for the key, he said a tent had just become free and we could have it for extra money. We bargained over the amount and moved our bags in. The owner never answers your calls, and I felt the old man was making extra money from each guest. There’s no food nearby or anything to walk around and see, and the place is inside a residential family area. A very bad experience. Please avoid booking here.

The site is safe and works for camping, and it’s nice to meet people staying in the other tents. You can also try lighting a chulha and cooking over the fire yourself. My only concern is where it is: it’s within a boundary rather than in a natural setting.

The little refrigerator in our tent was a nice touch. The rest of the stay had quite a few problems. The beds felt cramped, with too little room to sleep comfortably, though I know this is budget accommodation and felt better bedding could still have been provided at this price. We had to leave our car outside, while some cars were allowed inside. I’m not sure whether the host was giving certain guests preferential treatment. The host, or possibly the employees, weren’t courteous either. There’s a lot the owner could improve to make stays more enjoyable.
