OYO 46815 Banaji Home Stay

Getting to the property can be a problem: sometimes no cab or auto can reach it, so you may have to carry your luggage on foot for a while. Communication there was poor. The owner or manager came across as rude and lacking manners, and acted as though the place were a five star hotel. He also refused online payment when I booked through OYO, despite people finding the property through OYO. Better stay away.

I felt the stay was a complete waste of money. The rooms and toilets were dirty, and the place seemed totally unhygienic. The owner assigned the same room to two families, then told us to wait in a small, filthy room that looked like a garbage room. When we raised the issue, he spoke very rudely. I can't understand the good Google reviews.

The room was well equipped, with a lovely large marble bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful, and room service was available whenever we called. If you're heading to Jodhpur, this place is worth the money and a good choice.

We stayed for two nights in February 2020 at banaji homestay and got a better deal by arranging it at reception than online, since tourism was slow then. The rooms were great, and Indique restaurant on the roof is a good option for a meal. The famous clock tower is just outside. Staff can help find parking if you can't spot a space yourself. It's a heritage haveli where the 'Rajputs' live, divided into three portions. Two are operated as separate hotels by the bannaji who own those parts.
