Ranbanka Apartments

The gym could use an upgrade, but otherwise my sister and I had a lovely, memorable stay at Ranbanka Palace. The beds were the most comfortable we had in India, and the rooms were clean, roomy, and comfortable. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and the rest of the food were delicious, maybe a little too delicious since we both doubled our weight. Arjun Ronak Mahipal, Arbaaz the attentive waiter, and Asok the amazing chef deserve a big shout out. We joked that we’d need more tours and less food to stay fit, good luck with that 😜.

Ulfat Islam and Mahaveer Singh were so polite, warm, and attentive, and made sure we felt welcome throughout the meal. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and every dish was beautifully presented and full of rich flavour. The food felt carefully prepared, and the quality really stood out. It was a wonderful dining experience at Ranbanka Palace Restaurant. I’d happily visit again and recommend it.

The spacious outdoor areas and royal feel were the highlights, and everyone from reception to room service and the dining staff was friendly and polite. The room facilities could use a little more attention to detail: there was no bathroom mat on the first day, though I was glad the shower area was enclosed. The bathroom also needs a more thorough clean. I found the food a bit strong and would have preferred a milder taste. The curd rice was excellent, and I’d have liked a choice of fresh paneer and local organic ghee.

There’s some charm to the hotel, but the amenities fall short, so I’d say it’s three stars at best. The “smart” TV has no Wi-Fi, and the bathroom is very basic, with bar soap and a simple shower. Parties play loud music until 10 pm, which makes a good night’s sleep hard.
