SPOT ON 60969 Hotel Vaishnavi Lodge

I only needed a cheap place to sleep for two days and wasn't expecting anything fancy, but this was far worse than I imagined. I don't know how Oyo approved it. It made the original Rosebud Motel from Schitts Creek seem 600 times better. There was no water provided. I was alone, yet there were two beds and only one had a bedsheet. The receptionist controlled the AC with a switch. The bathroom was tiny and old. Don't go.

The staff understood what we were going through and behaved well, but the lodge itself was a horrible experience. I came from Guwahati with my family and planned to stay at Maa Vaishnavi Lodge for two nights, but somehow managed only one. There was a water connection in the bathroom of the room I booked, but no water, so I bought a Bisleri bottle to bathe. Drainage was very poor, the rooms were cramped, and there was no AC connection. Mosquitoes were everywhere overnight, and at 5 a.m. the next morning I borrowed a repellent machine to deal with them. I wouldn't recommend it.

Their smiles and warm behavior were the most memorable part. They managed our organization's three day long Induction even while all of Jorhat had a blackout and no water. The place is small, but the food was good and everything was neat and clean. I'd like to visit again.

The manager was customer friendly, and there's a parking lot nearby. During lockdown I was looking for a lodge in Jorhat town, found this one and went to see it. I was surprised by the room quality for the price. Comfortable, nicely maintained rooms and cheaper too.
