Kadalundi Heritage

We were left stranded on the road at midnight with nowhere to stay. I had booked and confirmed a room, but when we arrived and called, they said the rooms were full. Why accept our booking and money if there was no room? They kept the money and left us helpless. It felt like cheating, with no professionalism or humanity. Never trust these liars.

There was an open room when we arrived, but it was unclean, the bed hadn’t been made, and there was a bad smell, probably from cigarettes. No one was there to meet us, and when we called the owner, he said we’d have to wait until 7pm for the caretaker. He also refused to acknowledge our confirmed Expedia booking. Avoid this property. We found much better accommodation nearby. The owner’s response below is disingenuous. He knew we were coming because I’d spoken with him the day before. I booked through Expedia, which took my money and later refunded it after an Expedia representative spoke with the owner. On the phone, the owner denied using Expedia, even though his place is advertised there. Don’t waste your time, effort, or money booking it. Avoid this place.

The place is close to Kadalundi railway and bird sanctuary. The rooms were nice and spacious, and the owner and caretaker were friendly. When we asked, they made us ginger tea in the morning. Thanks for letting us stay.

The bathrooms were below standard and made for an uncomfortable stay. The rooms are in very poor condition, and one doesn’t even have a bathroom. It might suit people drinking alcohol, but it’s not appropriate for families. Don’t stay.
