At Hotel Arka in Kakinada, I paid ₹2,200 per day as a walk-in, while online platforms showed a rate of around ₹1,000, already too much for what you get. When I questioned the difference, management gave a misleading explanation about online and offline check-out times being completely different. It felt like a way to squeeze more money from guests. The room was filthy and neglected. The sheets hadn't been changed and had hair, stains, and dirt on them. There was no doormat, the floor was grimy, and there was no hot water. The staff were unresponsive whenever I called or asked for help, and seemed not to care about guests or the state of the rooms. This felt like a badly maintained roadside lodge charging premium prices for low quality. The photos online don't reflect it. With the dirt, missing basic amenities, and poor service, I consider it a rip-off. It was the worst hotel stay I've had. I'd tell people to save their money and health and book elsewhere in Kakinada.
