Spot on 48249 Udupi Sri Durga Residency

I stayed on 17th Feb and had one of my worst experiences. The service was awful, they didn't even provide towels, and when I raised it, he argued with me. Even one star feels like too much.

The food was good, though they need to do better with cleanliness and ambience.

I went back the next day and waited about 40 minutes for the first batch of hot idlis, after trying the Sambar Idli, Pesarattu Upma, and Filter coffee on my first visit. Everything tasted so good that the wait was worth it. The senior citizen staff made a good impression too. They were patient, took orders, and brought the food. Udupi Sree Durga Lodge and Restaurant is a long standing place in kakinada, near Lalitha Jewelers and Government General Hospital Kakinada. It has the feel of a traditional udipi restaurant, and even the billing is old style, with coupons and a receipt book. Go for the food, not five star ambience or customer service. If you're a foodie looking for a good breakfast, this is a place to try.

A handy place to check into when needed, with good service overall. The attached restaurant is very budget friendly and serves good quality food, though the variety is limited. Parking is also limited, and there's no bar.
