The customer service was very good, and the rooms had a peaceful atmosphere.

The location is good, and both the hotel and rooms were neat and clean. Staff members were friendly and helpful. But we booked for two adults and two children and got only one large towel and one small one. The room was very small, and the kitchen space was pointless without cooking gas. The balcony wasn’t useful for anything beyond smoking. Our room looked nothing like the one shown in the Treebo app or website. Only the Maple Room on the ground floor is spacious and has couches. How are customers meant to know that? If Maple Rooms on other floors are smaller, the listing should show representative photos. There were also several maintenance and safety problems: the bathroom cupboard door was broken and nearly scratched my little son’s back, and the kitchen cupboard door was broken too, just left there. The bidet holder was broken, and there were no clotheslines, handles, or hooks for hanging clothes in the bathroom. The bathroom was so cramped an adult could hardly stand or shower properly, let alone wash a child in there. The hotel needs to be more careful about maintenance. We came away feeling they weren’t interested in maintaining the place, which could hurt the Treebo brand.

I love Oryx and the stay. The rooms are big but inexpensive, the staff are nice, and there’s plenty of parking. I also liked the dining area and their tea and green peas curry. Their water refill setup is great: they provide water bottles and a glass bottle you can refill and reuse if you don’t want mineral water, so you don’t have to pay for water at other hotels.

The location is easy to reach from Seaport-Airport Road, across from Noel mall, and there’s plenty of parking. Rooms feel new and clean, the staff are helpful, and the facilities are good. Breakfast is served on the fourth floor every day, and free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the stay. There’s also a table and chair for working, plus you can get an iron, hair dryer, or free water refill at reception anytime. My room’s bathroom was very cramped, though. Prices change depending on the day and are higher on weekends, but it’s good value for a budget stay with family, as a couple, or for work.
