Abad Turtle Beach

We had a lovely time at adad turtle beach. The staff were so warm and helpful, and the food had plenty of choice and tasted great. Our room was spacious and clean, and the resort itself is beautiful, with a well-kept infinity pool. Being able to go straight to a quiet, clean beach with lifeguards made the stay even better. Highly recommend!

The staff made us feel at home, coming over to chat with warm smiles and genuine kindness. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and dinner, which had a decent selection and tasted good. The private beach was a real highlight. It was open from 6:30 AM to 7 PM, had a lifeguard, and we mostly had it to ourselves. The rooms and property were clean and charming, with villa-style rooms that reflect authentic Kerala architecture. There was a swing in each room, plus a badminton court and a well-kept pool. We loved the peaceful setting too, with greenery, a cattle farm, birds, a butterfly park, and mango trees full of ripe fruit. It was a delightful one-day family staycation and a lovely way to unwind in nature. My one suggestion would be to make check-in and check-out a 24-hour slot, from 2 PM to 2 PM, and include lunch. The current timing is 2 PM to 11 AM. 🌿✨

We had a great time here, and the beach access alone could keep you busy for two days without taking a day trip. There are plenty of things to explore at the resort, including cycling, the spa, a butterfly park, and a children's play area. The nearby beach feels almost private. The food was good, though a little expensive for what was offered.

Breakfast was poorly handled, and we weren't even given water, so we had to fetch it ourselves. The beach was in very bad shape and quite a walk away. Our room wasn't in good condition either: mold on the walls, a clogged shower, no exhaust in the washroom, and old manual locks that were a struggle every time. They gave us chipped, damaged key cards that seemed to do nothing except keep the lights on. One was so broken that I cut my hand trying to catch it. I also found the place overrated, with what seemed like preferential treatment for non-Indian guests, which felt off-putting. The prices are outrageous for such poorly maintained rooms, like paying luxury rates for this. This was one of my most disappointing travel stays, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting basic comfort, safety, or service.
