Roots Shoots & Beds

We really liked the garden, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. The place is very nice, set a little below the main road, so it's calm. Both the occidental and Indian breakfasts were very good. We recommend it!

The host was so warm and welcoming, made sure we felt at home, and shared local tips for exploring. Fresh, delicious food added a special touch. Roots, Shoots & Beds is a beautiful hill homestay with cozy, clean, well-kept rooms and a comfortable, homely feel. Its peaceful setting, lush greenery, and breathtaking views made me feel at ease right away. An unforgettable stay. I'd love to return and highly recommend it for a nature getaway where you feel cared for.

I was there for just 10 minutes before checking out, and it was the worst hotel experience I've had. The room was filthy, smelled awful, looked nothing like the photos, and felt neglected, with dirty sheets, stains on the bed and furniture, dirt on the floor, and a bathroom that seemed not to have been cleaned. I didn't feel comfortable or safe staying even one night. When I raised the issues at the front desk and asked for a refund, the staff were rude and aggressive. They refused to return my money and became verbally abusive instead of helping. I felt unsafe and disrespected. The staff didn't seem surprised or concerned when I said I was leaving, which makes me think this happens often. No one should be treated that way after paying for a service that wasn't delivered. Definitely wouldn't recommend it. A total waste of time and money, and I regret going in.

We especially enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views, and the homestay has a lovely swing too. Pets are allowed. My husband, our child, and I had a wonderful stay at Roots Shoots and Beds Homestay. The host was welcoming and attentive, making sure our needs were met with a smile. The cozy, clean, well-kept rooms made it easy to relax after exploring, and the place felt comfortable and warm, like home. It was a peaceful, pleasant experience, and we'd recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing, homely getaway.
