Adri Chembra

The rooms and washrooms were clean, the beds were well maintained, and the kitchen facilities were excellent, so staying here was easy and comfortable. Adri Hostel sits in nature, with a thoughtful design that fits its surroundings. Mr. Vishnu made us feel welcome and cared for with his warm hospitality. A standout choice if you want both comfort and a peaceful nature setting.

Mr. Vishnu deserves a special mention. When I lost my bike keys at the property, he did everything he could to get a duplicate made so I could get back on the road. He was also helpful with questions and arranging local transport, and the hosts and caretakers were all welcoming. Adri Chembra is a good base for exploring Wayanad, especially if you’re travelling solo and open to socializing. The photos are accurate, the bunks are comfortable, and with only four people to a room it never feels crowded. There’s a shared dining area and a few places to hang out outside the rooms, surrounded by greenery. You can order food in, and the gates stay open all night, which makes it easy to follow your own plans. They also have private rooms if you’d rather have your own space.

I enjoyed seeing all the different kinds of birds right on the property, which sits among tea and coffee plantations in a small, scenic village. The hostel is small, so I got to meet the other travellers and explore nearby places with them. Vishnu, the host, knows a lot about Wayanad and is very helpful with suggestions. A peaceful place for solo travellers or small groups of friends.

Surrounded by greenery, this is a beautiful place to enjoy the natural scenery, with a clean and lovely atmosphere. It works well for a group, especially five people or more. You need to order food from outside, but you can make your own breakfast or a small meal if you’re able to. The caretaker and the place are both hard to put into words.
