Hotel Soorya Castle

We had a confirmed hourly room booking through MakeMyTrip, but when we arrived we were told there were no rooms available. No one had informed us beforehand. The payment still hasn't been refunded, and the person at reception has been unresponsive and unhelpful. There was no apology, accountability, or attempt to sort it out. This was an extremely unprofessional experience that wasted our time and money. I'd advise others to avoid the place and the same stress and loss.

The area was good, near the highway, and the price was economical compared with other hotels. The room upkeep wasn't very good and felt more like a homestay. We did have a power cut for a while, but apart from that, staying there was a good experience.

The views from the room are stunning, and the location is amazing. I hadn't expected much when I booked, but the price is good and the view is completely worth it. Services are basic, with nothing fancy, though the manager and small team are polite and helpful. They make a real effort with hotel issues and even personal requests. The place could use more tourists. Cleaning could be better, especially during the stay: it seems to happen more around check-in and checkout than daily. It was a peaceful stay, and better cleanliness could make it a five-star experience.

The room was okay for the rate, but the way the power outage was handled was unacceptable. The electricity went out around 2 am and we were left suffocating until 4 am without the generator running. When I called, the receptionist woke up and said he'd check. The generator was switched on, but half an hour later it was turned off again, and we didn't sleep until 6 am. In the morning, he said management would scold them if they ran the generator continuously. The hotel seemed very unconcerned about guest comfort, with a lethargic attitude. Since we'd prepaid through go Ibibo, we couldn't do anything about it. A very pathetic stay. Never choose this hotel.
