The camel and jeep rides were enjoyable, but you can also book those from Jaisalmer town and take a cab to Sam for the activities. For me, staying at Sam Sand Dunes wasn’t worth it or pleasant. The food and dining hall were especially poor for cleanliness and choice, and the linens weren’t very clean either. The rooms themselves were okay, but basically just larger standard rooms, not the luxury described. For the price, the food and cleanliness fell short. It could suit someone who wants a lively place to hang out.

I found the rooms comfortable and clean, and the staff were friendly, polite, and quick to help. Room service was reliable and professional. The meals were fresh, hygienically served, and tasty, with an impressive range, especially the Indian dishes. Thar Resort had a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax with family or friends. I enjoyed the stay more than I expected and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable visit.

We looked at four or five desert camps before choosing this one, and were really impressed. The staff were friendly and respectful, and the place was well maintained. The cultural shows were great and affordable, while jeep and camel safaris came with the package. Food, timing, and hospitality were all good. Great views, a quiet atmosphere, and it’s child-friendly, with luxury touches and good value. I’d definitely come back and recommend it.
