Sunrise Desert Resort with Swimming Pool

Staff were cooperative and well behaved, and quick to help whenever guests had a request or ran into a problem. Food was good overall: freshly made snacks with tea and coffee, a tasty, good-quality dinner, and a decent, filling breakfast. Our luxury tent booking was first assigned as a luxury tent in Khamma Ghani resort, which was decent, then we were offered an upgrade to a comfortable, very spacious Maharaja tent at this resort. Hot water is available only from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM. The cultural program was a concern for some families because a few guests didn't follow the decorum expected in a family setting. Some people seemed to enjoy that atmosphere, so it may depend on your preference. My recent Jaisalmer desert camp stay was budget-friendly, and you get what you pay for. It was decent, with basic amenities, but a few things could be improved.

The evening cultural show was the only good part. Dinner and breakfast were disappointing, the bedsheets weren't clean, and the rooms were missing basics like water and towels. Decent at best. I'd avoid it.

The camp's jeep safari is a must, and the price is reasonable. Ismail Bhai was especially warm and helpful. From arrival onward, everything was well managed, and the staff were polite and ready to assist. The comfortable stay, camp atmosphere, traditional feel, delicious food, and cultural programs made our experience at Sunrise Desert resort memorable. I'd definitely come again and highly recommend it.

Some visitors mention that tents and bathrooms could be cleaner and better maintained. Hot water isn't always consistent, and minor power fluctuations come up from time to time, perhaps due to the remote desert setting. Food quality is described as average by some, and buffet variety can feel limited, though people appreciate the traditional taste. On the plus side, guests enjoy the Rajasthani folk dancing and music at night, as well as the Camel Safari and Jeep Safari near the dunes. Many praise the polite, welcoming staff. The bonfire and a night under the stars in a Swiss tent are often called magical. Sunrises Desert Resort is a solid budget or mid-range choice for a taste of Rajasthani culture and desert adventure, though the facilities might feel basic if you're after high-end luxury.
