Hotel Malik Residency

I stayed two nights at Hotel Malik Residency on a corporate booking through PhonePe, and the experience was very disappointing. The locality felt untidy and unsafe, especially at night, and breakfast was limited to poori-sabji, poha, and tea, with poor quality and little variety. On the first day, the bathroom tap wasn't working when I went to bathe. I complained and a plumber fixed it. On the second day, they didn't provide complimentary drinking water even after I requested it. I had asked for room service while I was out that day, but came back in the evening to find the room hadn't been cleaned or made up. The corporate booking cost about ₹7,000 for two nights with breakfast. Later I found that the walk-in or online rate was around ₹1,000-1,200 per night including GST. That huge gap made me feel completely cheated. The stay was unpleasant, the service negligent, and the price difference left a very bad taste. Check rates carefully before booking, especially for corporate bookings. Definitely not recommended.

The room was filthy, with cockroaches roaming around, including in the toilet. Dust covered the dirty tables, and there were visible stains all over the floor. It felt as if staff hadn't bothered to clean or check the room before handing it over. Basic items were missing: no slippers, toothpaste, toothbrush, or even one water bottle. The lights flickered, half of them didn't work properly, and the TV was completely dead. For the price they charge, this level of neglect is unacceptable. One of my worst hotel stays, a waste of money, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

The food was just as bad as the room. There were spit and paan stains in the bathroom, and the rooms were in very poor condition. When I visited last week, the geyser wasn't working. There were cockroaches in the room, and I had to kill 5-6 of them. Staff did nothing about it, saying, "construction me ye sab to hota rehta h". The receptionist was generally very rude. I had forgotten my dental kit, but they refused to provide one, saying it was hotel policy. The water bottle provided was used and in bad condition, with tap water, even though an unsealed bottle in every room is a basic amenity. When I asked about it, they said it was hotel policy and told me not to argue over a 20 rupee thing.

I felt very uncomfortable because there was no privacy. Some staff came into our room without asking or letting us know. The room also hadn't been cleaned properly. That's completely unacceptable for a hotel, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
