I booked the hotel on 21 December and found out too late that it was far from Ayodhya ram mandir. Getting to tanda hotel pushpanjali from Ayodhya meant changing three or four rickshaws. When I called management to ask how to get there, they were very rude and said, "If you want to come, come, otherwise don't come." If you're visiting Ayodhya ji, don't choose pushpanjali hotel.
The rooms were very small, the window AC wasn't great, and most TV channels were inactive. The washroom was OK, but cleanliness overall wasn't very good. I missed both meals: dinner is served only until 10:30, and although I arrived at 10:15pm, I didn't get any. Breakfast starts late too, so I missed it when I left at 7:20 am.
Tea or coffee needs to be ordered at least an hour ahead, and it was far too milky for our taste. We found it quicker to order through UberEats or Food Panda than to get food from the hotel kitchen. For an affordable quick Indian snack, Ram Misthan Bandar is across the main road near the hotel. Don't be surprised to see people bundled up and asleep in the lobby before 9:00am. They barely speak any English, so a little basic Hindi helps. Our family had three rooms for three nights, and the layouts varied. My husband and I had a spacious, bright, inviting room, though the bedsheet was soiled. They replaced it without a fuss, but even the fresh linen had a tolerable yet odd smell. The floor hadn't been mopped. We were tired after a long flight and it wasn't very dirty, so we let that go. The bathroom was clean and the hot water was perfect. Wifi and TV worked fine, and extra blankets in the closet came in handy because nights get unbearably cold in that season. The elevator had a manual folding gate, which was new to me, but it worked.
This isn't a good place to stay. It's basically a wedding venue, so don't waste your money here. The place was dirty, and the people working there, or possibly the owner's son, acted like bullies. Typical kanpur gundai. Breakfast starts at 7 AM. When I asked for tea, a man called Pandey, or someone with that name, told me it wasn't possible because the person who makes it was asleep. I couldn't believe a hotel would say that. I told him I would leave the same feedback, and at checkout he sarcastically told me to be sure to post a review. That pushed me to write this. It was my worst experience ever.
Don't book online. They treat you badly if you do, and they don't provide a water bottle, towel, shampoo, or soap. Ask about it and they'll try to charge you, saying these are paid services. Cheap and poor people.
