Hotel Sapphire Inn

The worst hotel I’ve ever visited. I wasn’t allowed to change the pad. Very bad experience.

I stayed with my family for two days in Apr 23, and there were a lot of problems. The room fan made a jarring noise that interrupted our sleep. Rooms and toilets weren’t maintained, and there was a common wall between two toilets, so we heard sounds and foul smells. The toilet drainage was poor, with water sitting in the basin. There weren’t enough service boys, and requests needed plenty of follow-ups. Staff were extremely unprofessional. The restaurant only served Alu paratha all day, from breakfast through dinner, despite the many options on the menu. I asked reception if they could cook Maggie for my 3.5 year old son, offering to buy the packet myself, but they refused. With only that one dish in the kitchen, the hotel wasn’t at all kids friendly. The internet was slow, and not every receptionist knew the WiFi password. With Jharkhand’s horrible electricity, the power backup wasn’t good either. They couldn’t give me an invoice receipt during a power cut, though the computer and printer should ideally keep working. There was no electric kettle in the room, so we couldn’t boil water. There are many more issues. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel until management takes action on these points.

The hotel infrastructure is good, but the hospitality service was too poor. No one was at reception until 9 AM, and when I tried calling the manager, the number was switched off. I don’t know why some reviews call it “Extra pampering.” Guests pay for service, so management should take care of it. I personally wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone. I hope management looks into this.

Huge disappointment. The rates are super high, the sheets were dirty, and the table was dirty too. They promised a kettle but didn’t provide one. Services were pathetic. Even after asking and scolding 10 times, we got towels, and they gave us only one soap. I wouldn’t recommend it.
