Avanti inn

We spent two lovely days at Hotel Avanti Inn in Ujjain. The service was very good, and the clean, comfortable rooms were well equipped. Shri. Mahakaleshwar Temple is near the hotel, and its location in the heart of the city worked perfectly for our family. I'd recommend it for a family stay in Ujjain.

For simply having a place to stay, the property is good. It seems new, and both the room and washroom were clean. But I wouldn't recommend it to families because not all rooms are non-smoking, and the staff don't check rooms before handing them over. Our first room smelled strongly of smoke. There was no bucket in the washroom; the caretaker eventually brought one after I went downstairs and waited. The room also had no key, and they kept putting off dealing with it until I insisted on a room change. The replacement room was settled only after a couple more requests. Those problems cost us around 2 to 3 hours on our family trip. We couldn't visit corridor and Harshidhi mata mandir at night, which was important to us, and we missed it. You have to follow up repeatedly even for small things.

We found the rooms comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the stay was peaceful. There's no restaurant in the hotel, but ordering through Zomato was convenient. The hotel is about 5 km from the temple. Autos are easy to find there, usually for around ₹100, though some drivers may ask ₹150. We were fine staying farther away since hotels closer to the temple are generally not well maintained.

We had a comfortable, easy stay at AVANTI INN with the family. The room was very clean, housekeeping was excellent, and the hotel had a great ambience. Staff were polite and helpful, really top-notch. There was just one small thing missing, a clock in the room. I'd definitely recommend it.
