I only stayed overnight at Hotel Novelty, Kanpur, and didn't try the food, so I can't comment on it. The staff were polite, helpful, and respectful, and upgrading my room from Deluxe to Ultra Deluxe was a nice gesture. The building needs serious work, though. The electrical sockets were damaged, the fittings looked worn, and the washrooms were poorly lit. The fixtures need plumbing work, and the toilet wasn't maintained or cleaned to an acceptable standard. Service was decent, but the hotel urgently needs proper maintenance and refitting to meet expectations.

The room was spacious, and they upgraded us from Deluxe to executive over the weekend. The hotel is right in the city center, about 100 m from mulganj Chauraha and roughly a 1.5 km walk to Kanpur central stn.

My room wasn't cleaned during my three-day stay. I called to request housekeeping, but nobody took it seriously. The food is very expensive. One tea costs...

It was a good experience. The rooms were splendid, and the staff were generous and kind.

The room quality was very poor, and the service wasn't good either. Changing rooms three or four times made for a really bad experience, and the prices are very high compared with other hotels.
