Hotel Atithi galaxy

The location is convenient, near the exit by platform no. 1 at kanpur Central railway station. The room and washroom were clean, and they provided soap and a towel. But the room was very small and had a hindi style washroom. I asked to move to a room with a western style washroom, but they said none were available, even though they were giving rooms to other people arriving.

Cockroaches and mites were all over the room, the bedsheets were very dirty, and the rooms were filthy. The washroom window was broken, so someone could look in from outside, which felt completely unsafe. Staff were rude and kept knocking on the door at night, asking for extra money. They also wanted money beyond the room charge, charged extra for food and water, and told me to come downstairs to collect food. The food was very bad too. A total disaster, don't book this hotel, look elsewhere.

The hotel didn't feel safe at night. I saw staff drinking alcohol and making a lot of noise inside, and when I called reception for help, nobody answered. The staff at the main counter were extremely rude, spoke loudly, and wouldn't cooperate. I had to insist before they gave me a bill. They also asked for extra ₹50-₹100 for small things, which felt very unprofessional. WiFi, AC, and TV didn't work at all during my stay. The glasses and utensils were dirty, so basic hygiene was missing. The bed was uncomfortable, there were only 2 pillows, and the old blanket smelled bad. I had a very disappointing stay at Hotel Atithi Galaxy near Kanpur Central Railway Station. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, especially families or solo travelers. Please avoid it for your own safety and peace of mind. It wasn't clean or professional.

The rooms were clean and good, and overall things were fine. I didn't like how the receptionist spoke to me, though. Rood behaviour.
