Hotel Vijay Intercontinental

We hosted a marriage ceremony for a relative here, and the setting made the occasion feel special. The ambiance was beautiful and suited the event, and guests praised the food quality and preparation. The staff were polite, professional, and responsible throughout. I especially want to thank Kakul Singh. One of our relatives misplaced a mobile phone, and Mr. Singh contacted us promptly after it was recovered. That honesty and initiative say a lot about the team. Their dedication made the ceremony memorable and stress-free.

The food at our event at Vijay Intercontinental was tasty, but dealing with the event managers was frustrating. They were rude and unprofessional, ignored requests repeatedly, and showed little skill in handling customers. The washrooms stayed locked during the function until we asked several times. Lights that had been confirmed still weren’t switched on for the evening pooja by the fountain. Breakfast for hotel guests was closed early in the morning, so many people couldn’t eat. The event manager and decorator hid the lighting charges and blamed each other, then I was suddenly made to pay extra for the lights just before the event. Nobody followed up after I shared this feedback.

After my family and I left Vijay International Hotel, we realized my son had forgotten his shoes there. I was worried they were gone, but Mrs. Kakul Singh made sure they were found and went to the trouble of couriering them all the way to Bangalore. Thank you, Kakul Singh ji, and the whole team 🙏 That kind of care for a guest’s belongings after checkout is rare. The team were honest and went above and beyond for us, with support from beginning to end. It’s this sort of service that makes a hotel feel truly world-class. I’d highly recommend it if you want staff who really care.

The food really stood out during our three-day stay, especially the Dosa at breakfast. Mr. Aamir handled the catering for our family function, and everything was delicious. He deserves a mention, and I’d recommend him for an event here or elsewhere. We came for a family wedding and held two functions at Vijay Intercontinental. Our host arranged everything nicely, and the staff were supportive and welcoming throughout. There’s a coffee shop and fine dining area on the ground level, plus spacious halls in different sizes on floors -1, 2nd, 3rd, 7th and 9th. Parking is ample, and there’s a swimming pool too. Our rooms were roomy and comfortable, with useful basics like a small locker in the cupboard and a hairdryer. One family member stayed in a spacious suite with two bathrooms. A few more chairs or another sofa in its outer area would have made seating better. The hotel was neat and well maintained. The corridors were nicely decorated and well lit, with CCTV cameras on every floor. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay comfortable and memorable. I’d recommend it for family stays and functions.
