OYO 12172 Hotel Deep Premium

I stayed at Deep Premium for 11 days while in Kanpur for work, after booking through Oyo. The rooms were good, the property was nice, and the reception, room service, and housekeeping staff were all humble and helpful. Breakfast was complimentary and excellent, with a buffet. When I first arrived, though, the old-fashioned reception put me off enough that I considered cancelling. Renovating it is the one improvement I'd suggest. In the end, I had a very good stay.

We paid 2,400 rs for one night, and the place looked much better in the pictures than it did in reality. The room was okay, but there was no hot water. The staff were adequate, though the man at reception didn't know how to say goodbye. We're international visitors without Indian ID, and were told we couldn't stay in a budget hotel. We don't know why, but okay, we're white. For that price, I expected a good place and good service, and that wasn't what we got. The price is the only reason I gave one star.

A decent place to stay in Kanpur for an average price. The room was fairly spacious and fine for two, though just okay overall. Staff weren't very professional, but they were cooperative. The kitchen also closes a bit early.

The food is quite good, and the staff don't judge you based on who you're acquainted with, which makes this the only hotel in Kanpur I've found like that. Most of the rooms are good, though one or two aren't.
