The room quality was poor, and I wouldn't recommend Hotel Amutham residency to anyone visiting Kanyakumari. What bothered me most was the receptionist, around 55 and wearing glasses. At about 11 PM he wouldn't let us go outside, and spoke in an arrogant, disrespectful way instead of explaining or helping. As paying guests, we found that unacceptable. We came expecting hospitality and were shocked by how we were treated. The staff clearly don't know how to deal with guests. A very disappointing stay.

I reached with my family and little child at 5 am on Dtd 05.02.2026, after paying an advance of rs 2247 for a booking through fab hotels and booking.com. The receptionist said they weren't with either service. I complained to Fab hotels, but still haven't heard anything about getting my money back. It was a horrible situation to be left in, and the staff's behaviour wasn't good. The rooms were dirty and old. I strongly recommend not booking this hotel online, and suggest avoiding fab hotels and booking.com.

We stayed at Amutham residency as a family and found the rooms clean, with a nice ambience and cordial staff. It's on the main road in the centre of town, making it easy to visit the local places, and there's spacious car parking. I strongly recommend it for a comfortable stay in Kanyakumari.

The staff were rude when we arrived and said they hadn't received any intimation from Agoda, claiming they knew nothing about online bookings. We'd already booked and paid the full amount online. It's hard to believe a hotel listed on online platforms doesn't know about its own bookings. Very disappointing. I strongly suggest not choosing this hotel if you're booking online.

They cancelled my confirmed online booking to make a little more money, leaving us with nowhere to stay during peak season. This is a fraudulent hotel. These cheaters should be blacklisted.
