We arrived at 4 AM after getting caught in traffic and checked out at 11:30, so we only spent a few hours there. Even in that short time, the property felt just right for our family. It was well maintained, and Anna, Akka, and the staff were all kind, cooperative, and really nice.

The rooms were clean and the service was good. The lady hometaker was sweet and made check-in easy, and the in-house caretaker looked after us well. Breakfast came with utthappam, pongal, and tea, which gets 5 stars from me. They could improve the small geyser, since it only gives limited hot water, and fix the showers, broken buttons, and toilet guns with thin water. Water bottles for travellers would also be helpful.

We had a lovely time at this resort with such lovely people. They can arrange breakfast to suit you, and they also rent out scooties at affordable prices.

The next morning, we were served just one uthappam each for the nine people we'd booked food for, and each one was literally the size of an idli. When we questioned it, the service person rudely blamed us, saying “your people ate too much,” meaning we'd eaten two pieces instead of one. The evening before, around 10 PM, he had stood nearby listening while my cousins and I talked outside. We were adults, but were treated like school kids and given no privacy. Customer service was extremely poor and made us uncomfortable. Shell Park, Kanyakumari is poorly managed, and the online pictures are highly glorified and misleading. The reality was extremely disappointing. Highly NOT recommended.
