The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the vegetarian food was fresh and tasty. Most of all, the location is hard to beat if you’re in town for the Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple. It’s only a 1-2 minute walk to the entrance, which made things much easier for us as pilgrims. A convenient stay with good service.

Our family stay was very disappointing. The AC barely cooled the room, and at dinner the power went out for over two hours. The generator never came on, which we found unacceptable. Several menu items weren’t available either, so there was little to choose from. We had booked Hotel SAJ Luciya for the pool, only to learn on arrival that it was under maintenance, something we should have been told beforehand. The one advantage is that Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple is within walking distance. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for any other reason.

If you’re visiting Trivandrum for darshan at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, SAJ Luciya is very conveniently located nearby. It’s especially handy for the early morning rituals. The staff were wonderfully helpful and did a lot to make my stay comfortable. I’d recommend it for a temple visit.

They blocked the intercom in my room when I asked for a balti and mug. The restaurant service is in line with industry standards, so anyone can go there just for that. I’ve had far better stays in dharamshalas than in this so-called 4 Star hotel. Worst hotel I’ve seen in my 64 years.
