Park Rajadhani - Fort

The staff were helpful and polite throughout, with quick, professional service. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well maintained. A very comfortable stay, and I'd recommend it to families and business travelers.

We chose the hotel for its reviews and location, barely 200 meters from Padmanabhaswamy temple, and booked three rooms for our family. The stay was horrible, with serious hygiene and safety problems. Our first-floor room had a persistent urine-like smell even though the bathroom was clean. Staff sprayed air freshener after we reported it, but the odor stayed all day, so we asked to change rooms the next day. After we returned late that night, they moved us. Then a rat was found in my father's bed while he was asleep. Staff chased it away, but another rat appeared shortly afterward. My parents had to leave the room around 1:30 AM. We could also hear rodents moving above the ceiling in our adjacent room, and nobody slept that night. There were other upkeep problems too: broken or dead lights, loose hanging fixtures, leaking taps, and poorly maintained bathrooms. The rooms overall were in poor condition. Food quality was below average, and just two staff were serving the whole restaurant, which made service worse. Staff showed no accountability or sincere apology for the serious problems. Don't expect the reception or lobby to be air-conditioned. I asked if they'd switched off the AC on purpose, and the receptionist said yes without hesitation. I usually don't leave negative reviews and can live with minor issues, but this wasn't something I could ignore. I don't think they intend to fix these problems.

I tried the thali lunch at Resturant Buffet zone hotel Rajdhani near Sri Padmanabhaswami Temple, and this review is only about that meal. I haven't tried any other items. The food was disappointing across the board: nothing in the thali had much flavor or taste, and not one dish stood out. For the price, I expected at least decent food. The large steel platter and little steel pots looked impressive, but the presentation was the only positive. Rajdhani, near Rajdhani Building, Thiruvananthapuram, and Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, draws devotees and tourists in for lunch because of its busy, convenient location. They may not know how poor the food is until they try it. I can't recommend it and would advise looking elsewhere for a satisfying thali. If you're after an authentic Kerala Sadya, don't come here; it isn't even on the menu. I feel bad writing this, but that's how it was.

The staff were very hospitable, and the rooms were comfortable and hygienic. It's also very close to the Temple. I had an excellent experience.
